Some people do anything for the one they love. They may cook, clean, or even in this case ... kill. Karla and Paul Bernardo tortured, raped and murdered 3 girls. One of these girls being Karla's younger sister, Tammy. She also stood behind him if anything he wanted to do, even rape. Not only did he murder 3 girls, he was a serial rapist who raped up to 16 girl in 2 years.

Paul Bernardo was born to Marilyn and Kenneth Bernardo. Kenneth wasn't his real father as his mother cheated on her husband. Paul grew up bright and charming and many women liked him. Karla Homolka was born on May 4, 1970 to Dorothy and Karel Homolka in Port Credit, Ontario. She was pretty, smart and popular. Karla developed a passion for animals and a pet convention is where they met.

Paul and Karla's first murder was Karla's little sister, it was supposed to be just Paul taking Tammy's virginity but turned out be an accidental death. The other two murders weren't. They were caught when Paul's dna matched the dna taken from his own rape scenes. Karla was called in for questioning. When the cops began to talk to her she immediately admitted that he was a rapist and murderer. Paul was sentenced to life in prison while Karla received a lighter sentence and was released in 2005 after only serving 12 years.


Safety tips 

• At night be way more cautious of your surroundings and don't talk to strangers. Paul kidnapped his 3rd victims by beckoning her to his car. She came.
• Try to keep your curfew if you don't, at least have means to get in your house.
