Angel Resendiz's first known murder was in 1986. In 1991, he committed his first known murder on U.S. soil, killing 33-year-old Michael White in Kentucky by beating him to death with a brick.He was nicknamed "The Railroad Killer" because all the killings occured near train tracks. In June of 1999, after being identified as the killer, he was placed in the Top Ten of the FBI's Most Wanted list and a reward of $50,000, which was later raised to $125,000 later that week.

Resendiz was born as Ángel Leoncio Reyes Recendis in Izucar de Matamoros, Mexico in 1960. His mother, Virginia Resendiz de Maturino, never married his father and frequently abused him physically. At the age of six he was sent to live with his maternal uncle, who raped him, and was also sexually assaulted by a local pedophile. At the age of eleven, he ran away from home and spent some time living on the street, where he took up glue sniffing. At the age of 16, he tried to enter Texas, but was deported.

In 1986, when he killed a homeless woman and her boyfriend. In 1991, he committed his first known murder on U.S. soil, killing 33-year-old Michael White. Over the course of the following eight years, he continued traveling by train in the U.S., during which time he killed at least a dozen people. When the crimes were connected forensically and by VICAP, a manhunt started. His sister convinced him to confess after Drew Carter, a Texas Ranger talked to his sister. Ian Brady and Myra Hindley are two of the most notorious killers in British criminal history. They are hated for the kidnapping and murder of five children over 18 months, between July 1963 and October 1965. The pair were jailed for life in 1966 for murdering five children all from the Manchester area.lured the youngsters to their deaths, sexually torturing their victims before burying them on Saddleworth Moor in the Pennines above Manchester.

Born on July 23, 1942 in Manchester, England, Myra Hindley grew up with her grandmother. After the drowning death of a close male friend when she was 15, Hindley left school and converted to Roman Catholicism. Ian Brady was born in a Glasgow, Scotland slum on January 2, 1938, to single mother Peggy Stuart. He was constantly in trouble and though he stopped for sometime he returned to crime within a short time and, as a result, ended up in Strangeways Prison at the age of 17, where he was forced to toughen up. In 1961, Hindley met Ian Brady, a stock clerk who was recently released from prison.

They kidnapped children and stabbed, raped, and buried them on the Moors. They began in 1963 and their last kill was on October 7, 1965. In that time they murdered 5 children, their youngest victim being only 10 years of age. They were caught when they murdered 17 year old Edward Evans in the presence of Hindley's brother in law David Smith. Brady and Hindley were both jailed for life, with a minimum recommended sentence of 30 years for what are today known as the 'Moors Murders'.

John Wayne Gacy also known as the Clown Killer was a serial killer who was found guilty for the murder of 33 young men. He picked them up and brought them back to his house where he tortured them and after killing them buried them under the floorboards of his home or dumped in the local river.Born on March 17, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois, John Wayne Gacy faced an abusive childhood and conflict over his sexuality.

After being convicted of sexual assault in 1968, it was discovered that he had gone on to kill 33 young males, burying most under his home. He was found guilty in 1980 and given multiple death penalty and life sentences. He was executed by lethal injection on May 10, 1994.

1970s, serial killer David Berkowitz created terror in the hearts of the residents of New York City. He targeted single women and couples, taking the lives of six people and leaving several others injured. Neighbors and co-workers thought of him as a quiet loner, but they had no idea how lethal he was.

Born Richard David Falco, he was adopted by Pearl and Nathan Berkowitz when he was only a few days old. Berkowitz was said to be an intelligent but troubled child growing up. He was close to his mother and was affected by her death when he was a teenager. At the age of 18, Berkowitz joined the U.S. Army. He gave in to the "demons" who spoke to him in the summer of 1976 shooting two teenage girls, killing one and wounding the other.

Berkowitz was a visionary killer, he was motivated by the "voices in his head that told him to kill." These demons, he said let him know when he saw the right people. He was said to be "adopted by Satan." While in custody Berkowitz said that Sam Carr was the most powerful demon and talked to him through the howling of his dog, Harvey whom he shot. After his first murder he killed 5 other people and was finally caught after matching a ticket. He was sentenced 25 years to life for each murder.

Known as the "BTK Killer" which stands for "bind, torture, and kill"an unknown killer caused terror in Witchita, Kansas, area from the 1970's to the 1990's. No one knew who he was until 2005, he was finally caught and revealed to be Dennis Rader, a seemingly average married father of two. His first crime was in 1978. Later that year he began seeking fame for his killings, writing letters and reporting his crimes.



Rader was born in 1945 and grew up in Wichita along with three brothers, all of whom graduated from Heights High School in Wichita. Rader was in the Air Force in Viertnam from 1965 to 1969. Joseph Otero, BTK's victim, was also in the Air Force at the same time. He worked in the meat department for a Park City grocery store and then as an assembler at the Coleman camping gear firm between 1971 and 1973, where he met two of his earlier victims. Many referred to him as a kind of guy who wasn't very noticeable, one who never really stood out from others. It was his ability to "blend in" that allowed him to go undetected for so many years.

He broke into the homes of his victims and "bind, tortured, and killed" them. He murdered 10 people this way. He murdered entire families, basically whoever lived in the house or was unfortunately in the house at that time. His final crime was in 1991, but he resurfaced in 2004 and again sought media attention. This eventually led to his arrest. He pled guilty and was ordered to serve 10 life sentences in prison.

Richard Ramirez was an American serial killer who raped and tortured more than 25 victims and murdered more than a dozen in their own homes. Victims ranged between a 9 year old girl and a married couple aged in their late sixties. He was called the "Night Stalker," Ramirez was turned on to Satanic worship at an early age by his cousin. As a signature he smeared pentagrams on the walls of the crime scenes.

Richard Ramirez was born Ricardo Leyva Muñoz Ramírez on February 28, 1960, in El Paso, Texas. He was the youngest of seven children born to Mercedes and Julian Ramírez, his father was a railway worker. Nicknamed Richard and Ricky, Ramirez had a bad childhood and was influenced by his older cousin, Mike who had recently returned from fighting in the Vietnam War. He told fascinated Richard stories about how he torture and mutilated Vietnamese women, often showing him pictures of the ordeals.

His criminal life first started as just theft but that turned to violence in 1984. This was when his 2 year killing spree started. His first victim was 79 year old Jennie Vincow, whom he sexually assaulted, stabbed and murdered during a burglary. Two years later he would have 25 victims. He was found after the stolen vehicle of one of his victims was found with his fingerprints inside. He was sentenced to 19 death sentences but died on death row in June of 2013.

Frederick (Fred) West was born in Much Markle, Herefordshire. He was the second youngest of six kids to Daisy Hill and Walter West. Fred often says he was sexually abused in his household. He claimed his father had incestuous relationship with sisters and taught him bestiality (sex with animals).Rosemary (Rose) Letts was born in Devon, England in 1953. Her household was troubled and abusive. Her father, Bill Letts, was a schizophrenic who constantly beat her, her siblings and her mother, Daisy. She was also sexually abused by her father.

Fred and Rose West kidnapped, tortured and raped 11 young girls. Their victims were female and sometimes related to them. The ones who weren't were lured to their house saying that they would be hired as nannies or some job of the sort. When the victim was under their control, they would rape and torture her in wild bondage acts for days and then strangle or suffocate her and bury her on their property. They were caught when police dug up their garden with intentions of finding out the whereabouts of their missing daughter. Fred killed himself after being arrested while Rose was sentenced to life imprisonment.
